Carbohydrate Polymer Solubility

Browse polymer solubility in different solvents, with concentration, solubility class, transmission and cloud point.

Table: Solubility of carbohydrate polymers in different solvents. Each entry gives the polymer, solvent, concentration (mg/mL), the solubility class (soluble: transmission > 85 %; partially soluble: 10-85 %; insoluble: < 10 %), the percent transmission at 10, 25 and 60 °C on the cooling ramp, and the approximate cloud point (°C). Classes describe nonequilibrium behaviour at a 0.5 °C/min ramp, not thermodynamic solubility. Click any column header to sort.
